Lost Foam Casting

Lost foam casting is a third-generation molding method that is high-quality, efficient, low-consumption, and low-pollution. It represents a revolution in the history of casting and is hailed as the "molding method of the 21st century" and "green casting engineering".

Lost foam casting is a new casting process in which a foam plastic model or a cluster of models, which are similar in size and shape to the casting, are coated with a refractory coating, dried, placed in a dedicated sand box, filled with dry sand without any auxiliary materials, lightly vibrated to compact, and then cast under negative pressure to form the casting.

The lost foam mold has the following advantages:

1. High quality: The casting has good quality, clear contours, smooth surface, and high dimensional accuracy.

2. Efficiency: No need for mold turning or core setting, no need for core placement, box closing, or sand mixing processes. With three-dimensional modeling, the workload of cleaning and machining is reduced, significantly increasing productivity.
